Carlos Cortéz - Argentina - Jardines de La Reina

Definitely was not within my next destination, for various reasons, should go without families, and seemed too "easy", but there was a good opportunity for Christian's hand and accepted the challenge.
It is far,   plane to Havana, bus to the Port of Júcaro   and navigating to the Fishing,  all very well organized by Fly Fishing the Run and Avalon.
We stayed at the Halcon, a cruise by other comfortable, and unanimously decided to anchor in a migratory tarpons looking a strong bet, in the vicinity would have great potential to search for other species.
The weather played a trick on us, we lost the first afternoon rain, the next day was quite cloudy and there were only four hookups of tarpons, one captured and lost three, all of good size.
The next morning only a sprint and we invaded the questions apparently were not there ... at noon we decided to move to the east, looking for areas with the greatest fishing opportunities for bonefish, permit and smaller tarpons. That evening we all catch good bonefish.
The morning of the third day was also intended for bonefish and we all had success. From there most of us opted for the pursuit of tarpons, devoting little time to the other species, there were many hookups, jumped tarpon and several catches, but this fish is always a little flavor, the proportion of catches   is very low compared with other fish, which is usually read for experienced fishermen is 7-1, for us a little lower ...
It is the only fish with which I feel I have never control the situation! His enormous strength and speed, changes of address and its great capacity to detach at each hop make it unique!
I tell a story: Christian had a very good hook tarpon,   the reel never  stopped  the line (and backing) goes at a incredible speed, then I say "you forgot to set the brake when you got the line!", And he replies "is almost the most !!"... then I checked, it was very difficult to spin by pulling hand!
Conclusions:
The place must be one of the best in the world to try to catch the three most important species that inhabit the flats, bonefish, permit, tarpon, in quantity and quality. The average weight: 3 lbs, 15 lbs,  25/30 lbs and 60 / 80 lbs respectively, for tarpon   try them in the month  May, June and July, you can have a blast.
With such "offer" becomes very important to plan time and time to devote to each one, in my case I used unproductive hours looking tarpons rather than be assigned to other species.
The guides are extremely experienced and passionate, they pushed us out earlier and earlier ...
The service is excellent, the food, drink, care, first exceeding all expectations.
The group that made me feel that I was sharing a way of "friends" and met all in Havana before boarding, 0 problems and so much fun ... thanks.
We caught many bonefish  and  tarpons, 0 permit, although not the best time for the latter, when we find one every half hour on average, negligible frequency. Also caught barracudas, jacks, snapper, yellow tail, etc.

Easy?? nothing is easy in this hobby / sport / passion ...
Again? without hesitation
