First time I visit Cameron Lodge, a full week, with the idea of "trying" to have my hands on the elusive and powerful sea of brown trout. I must be honest my expectations were not the best, I am satisfied with a good number of resident non-migratory fario. The wind, not knowing how to use two-handed rods, the season and as always the work stress dominated before getting on the plane. The first day we visited "Laguna del Carabinero" preserve huge fario trout, quite active in the morning, using a handheld light rods, dry fly and small nymphs.
The next day we decided to meet Lago Fagnano, where the road ends is currently under construction, after nearly three hours of travel and a couple of steps by snowy mountains, tens of thousands of castoreras and guanacos. The trip was worth it, a lamb, the stories about the landlord and the excellent care his wife were crowned the best that day.

After four days we traveled during the various posones the Rio Grande, between the Lodge and the border with Argentina. Sled 1 and 2, Arco Iris, 18, El Bosque, Las Piedras, Rafa, Girls, Island, Niko, Carter, Arbolito Cemetery ... and another dozen names that I do not remember now. Was not only to know the river, but they manage to achieve the art of Spey rods, or two hands, which had never before taken or caste. The effort was worth it, as dozens of trout and several residents were returned to those elusive brown - here are silver - coming up from the Atlantic to one of these posones. All between 4.5 and 8 pounds ... but on the size, which impression was able to catch them with hooks in 10 .... Could at last achieve an equivalent capture .... No. 10 hook for trout at least 10 pounds!.

Of course the stress and bad vibes disappeared andalusia feel the first run of a Sea Truot Brown at the end of my line ... that was enough for having me the other day and looking to the next and subsequent silver curb these runaway horses. Thank God today's pictures in my office hours at relieving my books, and thousands of customers daily affairs.

One final comment for the careful attention of Rafael and Alejandro (guides), and Ximena Eugenia (Kipping house and kitchenette) ... every effort first to make that wrenched roll cast is perfect and, once in water, which Fishing is from dawn to dusk (which this time involves at least 14 hours) and then you get next to a warm stove, a good Chilean pisco sour and the best meal of the Patagonian steppe.

With complete certainty, I have over there next season (and not only words of good breeding).

In addition I have a pending "account receivable" with that huge monster that after several runs, stunts, jumps and pulling my small double hook Kamagatsu downstream and smiling away, leaving me looking at the desert and my line floating in the stream without fail ... find that the posón smile and this time I go to look for gently swimming in deep waters, after taking photos of rigor
